About
The Farm On Adderley in Brooklyn, NY is a gem for those seeking a delightful New American breakfast and brunch experience. This women-owned establishment offers a plethora of amenities, including vegan and vegetarian options, delivery, takeout, and even catering services. With a full bar, outdoor seating, and a cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect place for any occasion.
Having read rave reviews from customers, like Vicki C. who raved about the natural and healthy flavors of the fern dishes, or Franny A. who reminisced about the innovative farm-to-table fare, it's clear that The Farm On Adderley is a beloved spot in the Ditmas Park neighborhood. The cocktails, according to Arline B., are fabulous, and the food, according to Nadine S., is inventive and delicious.
My personal experience at The Farm On Adderley was nothing short of exceptional. The Breakfast Plate with cheese grits, roasted squash, sausage, scrambled eggs, and an English muffin was a standout dish for me, showcasing the kitchen's knack for balanced flavors and hearty portions. The creamy grits were a favorite, and the coffee was top-notch. While Elle G. wished for more breakfast options on the menu, I found the variety of lunch items to be satisfying, especially the crispy chicken sandwich.
Overall, The Farm On Adderley is a must-visit for food enthusiasts looking for a unique dining experience with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The friendly service, cozy garden setting, and innovative dishes make it a standout destination for brunch or a leisurely meal. Don't miss out on this culinary gem before it closes its doors for good.
“ Sad that @thefarmonadderley is permanently closing on July 8 and definitely had to pay it a visit before that happens. Went to Ditmas Park for this dinner and was well worth it! Was a bit confused when I saw "ferns" on the menu but in the spirit of plant based food lover I had to give it a try....and it was so good! I loved how natural and healthy it tasted! Everything from the fern itself to the herb noodles tasted like the fresh ingredients themselves but also perfectly seasoned. Can't comment on the sandwich since I didn't try it (the fries on the side were too salty) and the cocktail was too strong for me tbh. It might be a bit tight but I would recommend everyone to try this place out this week if you can! ”
“ A brilliant run- They're closing 7/10 & I'm here for a farewell meal. This spot with a lovely garden is a pioneer in farm to table food. I can't believe I haven't been here in awhile ,it's been a few years. I fondly remember many great meals with friends on this burgeoning stretch of Cortelyou road or at least it was 16 years ago. I still remember the roast beef dipped sandwich The garden still holds a great local vibe brimming with life. Ate: Focaccia plus Visalia onion & Serrano $15 Trout $28 Redosco wine $14 small size As more restaurants cut lunch this is a treat To dine in the Garden and food was delicious & inventive. ”
“ The bar is awesome. The drinks are all fabulous. Liam is amazing. The food is delicious. ”
“ We stopped here for a late lunch on Friday. It was cold and windy, so we were happy to see they had indoor dining. They asked for proof of vaccination and ID, so we happily presented it. Staff was properly masked, and we were shown to our table. We (3 of us) were seated at a round table at the back, and felt comfortably distanced from others. They gave us menus, and brought over a bottle of tap water and three glasses. It was all warm - bottle, glasses and water. I'd say it was somewhat warmer than room temperature. Is ice one of those things that is only on request now? Prices were not exactly low, so they lost a star for this strange phenomenon. Two of us got the chicken sandwich - and the ingredients were very weird, but they worked really well! (It had red chili pickled cabbage - spicy, baby swiss, pear, mayo, on ciabatta.) One of us got the burger, and he said it was really good. Fries were fresh, hot and crispy, and ketchup was also great! If we are in the area, we'll definitely come back even though the prices were a bit high. Hopefully they'll provide cold water and/or ice next time...lol ”
“ Business is booming again at The Farm - it's helpful to make a brunch reservation if you can. I went with a friend for a recent Sunday brunch. Enjoyed it as usual. Good, friendly service. I got the "Breakfast Plate" (cheese grits, roasted squash, sausage, scrambled eggs, & English muffin). Everything was delicious - especially loved the creamy grits. The coffee was great as well. My only constructive feedback right now is that I would personally prefer if they had a few more breakfast-y options on the brunch menu. Currently there are only three (Breakfast Plate, Egg Sandwich, and French Toast) - all of the others are more standard lunch - burgers, Frisée salad, crispy chicken sandwiches, etc. But, that's a minor criticism because I happen to prefer breakfast items during brunch, it's just my personal preference. But with food this good, I'll keep coming back. ”
“ I've been here a few times for brunch but never thought it was amazing or anything. This time, I came here for a baby shower and it was done beautifully! Partially because the mom-to-be had a good crew with her but the decor and aesthetic of the Farm was also super cute and went with the overall theme. The service was really good as well. The waitress made sure everyone had enough coffee, tea and mimosas, and other alcoholic drinks, so they were definitely trying to give the party their money's worth. Overall, if you are considering doing your baby shower here, it might be worth considering, but then again I'm not sure how much they charged. ”
“ Came here for brunch on a weekend and was happy to not have a wait. We were seated indoors very spaced out. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. We ordered one piece of the french toast and i enjoyed that it was decadent yet delicate with a lot of flavor. I loved the big breakfast that came with sausage, eggs, grits and squash. It was a great combination of everything you would want for breakfast. The grits were perfectly creamy and full of flavor. It was a great portion size. I will definitely be back because the food was quite impressive! ”
“ I've always heard good things about this restaurant. It's definitely one of the staples of Ditmas park area . It has a beautiful set up with a nice backyard. So We came during the weekday looking forward brunch and they definitely delivered. We had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich with a side of fries. Let me just say that I was a bit nervous ordering this sandwich because it's been hit or miss since I've had it outside of Nashville. "BIG Emphasis on the HIT.... The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was perfect! The right texture of the chicken. It was nice and moist but crisp with a crunch to it. The right amount of kick so it's not overwhelmingly. The fries were equally as good. It was nice and crispy with the right amount of salt. We ended our brunch with some mimosas which was a nice touch. ”
“ Just quit my job and the first thing I wanted to do was brunch. Came here for a Thursday brunch and was. It disappointed. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which was juicy, and perfectly fried. The sandwich was topped with a delicious pepper jam which added some spice and flavor to the meal. Every dish at this restaurant comes from a free range farm and you can instantly tell the difference in the quality of the food compared to some other restaurants. Will definitely be back soon ”
